Although I am deeply involved in the planning of Rebel U, it is difficult to make into each session on the day of the event and listen to presenters and learn alongside teachers. Day 4 gave me the opportunity to revisit Rebel U 2013 and take a further look into some of the information presented by teachers. The session that I chose to explore further was that of the Tech Tool Smackdown. I had worked with the presenters prior to the day to help them with an idea for the day and both of them raved about the format and how much they learned from those attending their sessions. |
Resources Used Today
Rebel U Website A great go-to website for all things related to Godfrey-Lee's technology professional development day, Rebel U. Like I mentioned above, I chose to explore the Tech Tool Smackdown session. |
Google Presentation The presenters for this session used a Google Presentation as their delivery tool. I really like Google Presentations because they are easy to use, share information, and collaborate with others. |
Padlet For the audience collaboration part of their presentation, the presenters used Padlet. Padlet provides a great way to engage an audience, share information, and leave an audience with a reference resource. |
Animaps In looking through the resources found on their Padlet wall, I chose to look futher at Animaps. Animaps is really neat in that it allows you to take Google Maps to the next level. It is really neat how you can animate and add information and resources to a map to further illustrate a concept or topic. There are really endless implementations you could create across all subject areas with this tool! To view an example of Animaps and the features it provides, please click here. |
