Day 3 brings us a fun and quick activity - story chains! Story chains are a great way to engage an audience as well as participate in a collaborative writing experience. I love being able to collaborate with others and learn from their experiences. Today, I kicked off the story chain (well, a loose interpretation of a story chain), on Day 3. Click on the button below to add to the story chain! |
Resources Used Today
Google Sites I used Google Sites as the platform for my EdTech Cheer website. I had started the website four years ago and it seems to work well (for the most part!) for the information I provide. |
Mori79's Website Unfortunately, Google Site does not have a comment feature that is similar to that of a blog or that is user-friendly. In looking around for Google Sites gadgets that I could add to my EdTech Cheer site to make it user-friendly for my audience, I found many amazing resources on Mori79's website. I specifically chose to use the Comment Form & Board to add to my own site. This allowed me to add a conversational component to my website and did not require users to create an account anywhere to join the conversation. It was a little time-consuming to set it up, but the great thing was that once it was set up, there wasn't anything I had to do to maintain it - just watch and participate in the conversation! |
