Digital Learning Day - February 6, 2013
The Digital Learning Day is a day for teachers, students, and others involved in education to celebrate the use of technology as a learning tool. As the integration of technology into the learning experience varies between teachers, grade levels, subject areas, schools, and districts, it is important to remember that no celebration is too big or too small! This is a day to celebrate your accomplishments in how you use technology as a tool in your classroom or teaching and learning environment. As the video below eloquently describes, "Technology integration is using whatever resources you have to the best of your abilities".
My Personal Celebration
I have also been working on connecting with teachers in different ways. I usually post links and resources to Twitter or Delicious, but I am also posting things to Pinterest, as many of the teachers I work with use it as their primary social media outlet. I hope that by reaching out to teachers in different ways, I am able to help them utilize technology resources in their classroom.
So, my personal celebration is that of virtual connectedness!
