In the structure, Think-Write-Round Robin, students are taking their writing to the web as a way to integrate technology. Students take time to think about their response to the posed question/statement, record their responses online (with a tool such as Padlet), and then share their responses in their small groups.
So, what is the benefit of posting responses in an online environment?
- Teacher is able to view all student responses to gauge understanding
- Students can view responses outside of their small groups - this could be helpful in guiding small-group discussion
- The online posting serves as a reference tool for when students need to review or revisit concepts
