Welcome to Virtual Make & Take!
Welcome to this small corner of My EdTech World where I share asynchronous monthly learning opportunities where you have a chance to learn, make, and take digital resources that can instantly be applied to your teaching and student learning.
What is a Virtual Make & Take? This professional learning experience was designed to provide you with bite-sized learning experiences (micro-PD) to help you successfully learn, practice, and walk away with a handful of new resources. In no time, you will be on your way to transforming your digital teaching and learning environment with new methods that utilize a variety of tools that support collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity! In each monthly session, you will receive asynchronous instruction, an opportunity to practice, implement, and share, and then walk away with a handful of resources as a result of the collaborative learning!
If you are a Michigan educator and would like to receive SCECH credit for your participation, please register here.

1. Getting Started
- The first thing you will need to do is join my Google Group to receive access to files. Join the group at https://bit.ly/metwgooglegroup and your request will have be accepted before you have access and can begin course work (requests can take up to 24 hours to be approved).
Not sure how to get started with Google Groups? Here is a How Do I? Guide to getting started!
Why do you have to join a Google Group to participate? This allows me to easily grant access to documents and resources to those who participate. It also allows me to not have to share a Google file with the permission of "Everyone with access can EDIT" and risk the integrity of the awesome creations everyone has contributed. - LEARN. Click on the link below (for each month) to access the presentation that contains video instruction and explanation.
- MAKE. Based on what you learn, make something around the topic using the provided slide decks in the presentation (this is where you need the Google Group access!).
- TAKE. Look at what others have created - "take" what you like, edit, and use for your own professional practice. Please make sure to give credit to the original creator!
2. Select Learning Area
3. Reflect
Provided at the end of each presentation, a link will be provided for you to reflect and evaluate on your learning experience and provide the facilitator with valuable feedback for future presentations!
