Dot Day
Each year on International Dot Day, teachers, students, and people of all ages come together to discover, or rediscover, their inner creativity. So, how can you make your mark on International Dot Day?
Allow your students to be creative! One way to do this is to get students involved with augmented reality with the free app, Quiver.
To Get Started Using Augmented Reality with Quiver If you have access to an iPad, iPhone or Android device, download the Quiver app (formerly colAR) - a free download (you can read more about Quiver on their website). Download, print, and copy the Dot Day sheet from Quiver's website. Let students color the dot using their imaginations and creativity! Open the Quiver app, press the orange/white butterfly at the bottom of the screen to start playing. Hold your device over the colored image and watch the magic begin! NOTE: If you have not previously tried to scan this Dot Day image, it may ask you to download the content to your device. This is necessary to display the augmented reality fun! For some student examples of Quiver using the Dot Day, click on the button below. |
